On Wednesday 1 July 2009 UnionsACT will be holding a celebration of the End of Work Choices at the Weston Creek Labor Club at 2 .00pm with LHMU delegates and other affiliated unions. Any interested members of the public are most welcome to join us for a slice of cake and a champagne! From 1 July the new Fair Work Act will be enacted to protect the wages and conditions of Australian workers.
 
UnionsACT joins Iranian Embassy Protest PDF Print

On Friday 26th June, Protesters converged on the Iranian Embassy in Canberra to rally for the right to free and fair democratic elections in Iran.

Kim Sattler, the Secretary of UnionsACT, spoke at the rally. Many of our affiliates, including the AEU, the AWU and the CFMEU were there to support our Iranian comrades.
