Occupational Health and Safety is a huge and expensive problem throughout Australia. The minimum estimated annual cost to the country for workplace injuries, death and disease is more than $20,000,000.00 There is significant legislation dealing with OH&S in the workplace. A critical aspect to this is the obligation of employers to ensure their workplace complies with the legislation and that they have a properly trained employee representative. Workwatch is a properly credentialled provider of training for workplace representatives - in both the private and public sectors. Workwatch can also provide information regarding the health and safety requirements existing in the ACT. The bottom line is simple: no employee is allowed to work in an unsafe workplace- if in doubt don't do the job, and seek immediate advice. There are no second chances.
